MSG(R) John Craemer
Decades after being an award-winning photographer in high school, John is back pursuing associate degrees in Photography and Digital Media Technology with training certificates in: Design and Graphic Software (complete), Social Media Design (complete), Drone Technology (complete), and Digital Marketing at Northeast Wisconsin Technical Collage (NWTC).
John was selected as the 2025 NWTC Outstanding Program Student for Photography. In addition, John took two 1st place finishes in the 2024 NWTC Digital Arts Showcase. He also received a 1st and 2nd place in the 2023 NWTC Fall Photo Contest.
He has been on an extended internship with the Green Bay Press Times as a multimedia reporter from March 2024 to present.
John was selected and hired as a Photography Academic Coach at NWTC. He has been in that position from August 2024 to present assisting NWTC students with photography and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Finally, he was recently hired by the Green Bay Blizzard as a game-day photographer. He will perform those duties beginning in March of 2025.
John is a retired US Army Master Sergeant with over thirty years of service and four deployments to Iraq (2), Afghanistan and Kosovo leading men and women in combat.
He has been awarded three Bronze Stars; five Meritorious Service Medals; the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Order of Saint Maurice; and numerous other personal, theater, service, and foreign awards.
He has attended countless US Army courses on leadership; logistics; administrative processes; personnel management; training and training management; civil-military operations; and operations at the tactical, operational and strategic levels.
John has decided to continue to serve his country and community by joining the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is the Green Bay Flotilla’s Public Affairs Officer.
John is a stage four cancer survivor complicated years later by osteoradionecrosis of the jaw.
